Men and Women should be handled differently (not considering treatment) as men have a more non-acceptant attitude towards having eating disorders. More factors such as toxic masculinity and others such, make men more prone to avoiding discussion about any of their problems (eating disorders inclusive) therefore I believe that psychological handling of men and women should be different in terms of eating disorders.
I agree with you, general treatment should indeed remain constant among the genders, however your point about psychological handling is very understandable and adept to how our society works in general. As a man myself, I do indeed believe that men and women have vastly different thinking. Therefore, the way they are psychologically handled should be different as well. As discussed in other forums men indeed refrain from such topics more in comparison to females and therefore their thinking is different. I agree that therapy and counselling for males and females should be individually catering.

I think both men and women get the same treatment for eating disorders.
